The previous poster is correct, it depends upon the facility.
But in general, supine abdomen, PA chest and upgright abdomen is included in an acute abdomen series. Decub abdomen is used in place of the upright abdomen for those patients who cannot stand.

Completely dependant on the facility. For instance my hospital proticol for an acute abdominal series is a PA chest, Upright upper and lower abd. and a supine upper and lower abdomen. So you end up with 5 images

Actually, there is not a requirement to become a certified Radiographer prior to training/certification in MR, although that's historically the most common path.
To find an accredited MR training program, see the ARRT website here: www.arrt.org Use the Education/CE left navigation link, go to Primary Certification/List of Educational Programs. Select "MRI" and you'll see accredited programs listed alphabetically by state.

I'm trying to eventually become an MRI tech, and apparently I have to become an Xray tech first. I wanted to know, what kinds of hazards come with the xray tech job? I've heard rumors that they're more suceptible to cancer because they're exposed to lots of radiation. Is this true?
